Netanyahu on US embassy move: 'This is a great day for the people of Israel'
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the US decision to move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem in May 2018 to coincide with Israel's 70th Independence Day.
"This is a great day for the people of Israel," Netanyahu said in a statement. "This decision will turn Israel's 70th Independence Day into a much greater celebration."
"Thank you, President Trump, for your leadership and your friendship," the prime minister concluded.
