Court blocks PM's civil service commissioner appointment

The High Court of Justice has issued a temporary block on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent nomination of Ofra Bracha to the position of civil service commissioner, which was supposed to sether on course to become the first woman to fill the position since the founding of the State of Israel.
Despite Netanyahu’s nomination of Bracha last year, her appointment was successfully appealed. On Tuesday, a committee was supposed to convene to confirm her appointment.
