Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman castigated United Torah Judaism's attempt to force the approval of a draft bill that would exclude yeshiva students from army service, calling their proposed legislation a "draft dodging bill" and their decision not to support the state’s 2018 budget unless it is passed "no less than extortion using threats."
Lieberman stressed his party, Yisrael Beytenu, will "not surrender" to the UTJ's pressure and will not allow the bill to pass.
