Litzman rejects draft bill compromise: 'First draft bill, then budget'

Deputy Health Minister Yaakov Litzman noted Monday that since the draft bill crisis began, Likud has held no talks with his United Torah Judaism party on a possible agreement allowing the law to pass, Haredi newspaper Hamodia reported.
"We remain steadfast in our demand to pass the bill in all readings before voting on the budget and nothing (regarding the matter) has changed," Litzman said.
A possibility of passing the bill in a preliminary reading to allow its supporters to refrain from voting down the state's budget was floated.
