Tiberias mayor attacked during memorial service
The mayor of Tiberias, Yossi Ben-David, was attacked Saturday night during a memorial service at a house in the city. The suspected attacker hit Ben-David in his head and shoulder with bottles.
The mayor was taken to the Baruch Padeh Medical Center in the city and was kept in overnight for observation.
During the night, vehicles and the door of the home the memorial service was held in were set on fire. There was also an attempt to set fire to the city hall door with a Molotov cocktail.
Police believe the same suspect is behind all incidents. He has been arrested.
