Following attempt on Palestinian PM's life, Abbas hits strip with sanctions
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas scathingly attacked Hamas in a meeting of Palestinian leadership and said he has decided to levy new sanctions against the Gaza Strip in the wake of the assassination attempt on Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah and Palestinian intelligence chief Majid Faraj.
"I have decided to take national, legal and monetary steps against Gaza in interest of the conservation of the national project," Abbas said.
