State asks HCJ for stay on replying to petition against asylum seeker expulsion
None
The state asked the High Court for a two weeks' stay in replying to a petition seeking to block asylum seekers' expulsion, asking to reply by April 9.
During this time, the state said, the temporary injunction issued by the court to freeze the plan to expel will remain in place.
Should the state's request be accepted, expulsion will not begin on April 1 as planned.
