Minister Regev accuses opposition for Honduran President's indecision

Minister of Culture and Sport Miri Regev claimed Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez's decision to reconsider his participation in the torch-lighting ceremony for Israel's 70th Independence Day stemmed from slandering by the opposition, calling it "ugly."

"If he decides not to come … it shows that the opposition partnered with BDS against the State of Israel," she vilified.

Claims have been made Hernández's invitation to the official ceremony that concludes Memorial Day and launches Independence Day events was meant to facilitate the participation of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
