Former deputy foreign minister Danny Ayalon, who was summoned to testify in the Yisrael Beytenu corruption case on behalf of the prosecution, failed to show up in court on Wednesday, claiming he was sick.
Judge Yaron Levy criticized his absence. "The court is displeased with the fact the witness failed to show up to court of his own volition for the second time. In fact, the witness has presented the court and the two sides with a fait accompli," the judge said.
