Ministers approve decision to let Netanyahu light 13th torch at Indepence Day ceremony

Cabiet ministers approved on Wednesday a compromise reached between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein, according to which Netanyahu will light the 13th torch at the torch-lighting ceremony on Mount Herzl in honor of Israel's 70th Independence Day.

It has been decided that a 13th torch will be lit once a decade.
