NGOs ask HCJ to okay Palestinian entry for alternative Memorial Day service

Left-wing organization Combatants for Peace and The Parents Circle-Families Forum petitioned the High Court of Justice on Sunday, asking it to order the Ministry of Defense to allow the participation of Palestinian activists in a joint Isreali-Palestinian Memorial Day ceremony.

The ceremony was supposed to include some 200 Palestinians, but Minister of Defense Avigdor Lieberman rejected their request for entry permits, claiming it would hurt the public's feelings.
