Palestinian convicted of manslaughter, despite being charged with murder

The District Court in Lod convicted Palestinian Alaa Atzi, 25, from Beit Liqya of manslaughter, despite the fact that he was initially charged with the murder of David Bar-Kafra, a 70-year-old farmer from Rehovot, in 2015.

Atzi's relative, Mujahed Atzi, said to be Alaa Atzi's accomplice, was also charged with murder.
