Sweden welcomes N. Korea's nuke suspension

Sweden's foreign minister welcomed on Saturday North Korea's announcement that it has suspended nuclear and long-range missile tests and plans to close its nuclear test site ahead of summits with South Korea and the United States.

Margot Wallstrom said that it's "good news" that steps are being taken "to de-escalate and to defer from further bomb and missile tests."

But she added that "we have to keep the pressure up with the sanctions regime and everything else we are doing."

Wallstrom spoke before an informal working meeting in southern Sweden between UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and Security Council ambassadors.
