Herzog calls for Education Ministry supervision of army prep schools

Opposition leader Isaac Herzog (Zionist Union) called on Saturday to pass legislation giving the Education Ministry full authority over the pre-military prep schools.
Herzog was speaking at a cultural event in Hedera in the wake of the death of ten teenagers from a prep-school in a flash flood.
"The State of Israel has experienced a disaster hard to comprehend. A whole country grieves for the splendor of youth, teenage girls and boys lovers of this land who lost their lives in a terrible disaster," Herzog said.
