Govt. approves bill for stricter punishment for illegal shooting

The Government approved on Sunday a draft legislation to hand down stricter punishment for illegal shooting in the wake of recent shootings reported on southern roads as part of wedding celebrations.
The amendment to the legislation determines punishment for illegal gun shooting would be two years of imprisonment. And the punishment for shooting inside a residential area or in other circumstances that risk human life would be five years of imprisonment.
