State Attorney Shai Nitzan closed the Umm al-Hiran case, in which Yacoub Abu Al-Qia’an, a Bedouin citizen, was shot dead by the police after Police Officer Erez Shaul Levy was killed by Al-Qia’an's vehicle.
After reviewing the case's materials and the Police Internal Investigations Department's findings, the state's attorney decided to conclude that there is "no reasonable suspicion of criminal act by the police officers involved in the incident."
