Magen David Adom said that during the pilgrimage to Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai's tomb on Mount Meron, its teams provided medical attention to 187 people, 19 of whom were taken to the Ziv Hospital in Safed.
In addition, during the Lag B'Omer festivities nationwide two people received treatment—a young woman was burned by a bonfire in Ashkelon and an 8 year old was hurt in Jerusalem.
Fifty-seven people were treated following overconsumption of alcohol, 26 of whom were teens. Twenty-two people suffered shortness of breath. Seventeen teenagers and adults received treatment after being involved in violent incidents.
