Austria's chancellor to arrive next month to Israel

Austria's Chancellor Sebastian Kurz announced Sunday that he and his Minister of Education Heinz Fassmann will be arriving in Israel during next June.

"Austria has the tremendous historic responsibility of not forgetting the awful crimes committed during the Holocaust, and has an obligation to Israel and its citizens' safety," Kurz tweeted.

"I expect to meet Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and deepen the relationship between our two countries," he added.
