More than 50,000 people arrived at the Temple Mount to pray on the first Friday of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
Large police and Border Police forces were deployed throughout the Old City and east Jerusalem.
In addition, some 6,000 people arrived in Hebron for a prayer held under IDF security.
