Coalition submits bill barring SAO from appealing bribery cases
Coalition Chairman MK David Amsalem (Likud) submitted a bill to bar the State Attorney's Office from appealing verdicts regarding offenses carrying a maximal sentence of less than 10 years, including property, bribery, fraud and breach of trust offenses.
"A moral country should not persecute a citizen it believes received too light a punishment," Amsalem explained.
