Minister Haim Katz to be indicted for bribery pending hearing

Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit announced to Welfare Minister Haim Katz (Likud) that he will be indicted for bribery, fraud and breach of trust offenses pending the holding of a hearing.

The Tel Aviv District Attorney said that according to suspicions, Katz held a "quid pro quo" relationship with capital markets man Mordechai Ben Ari from 2010 to 2015.

As part of their relationship, Ben Ari allegedly provided benefits worth millions of shekels, while Katz promoted the businessman's affairs while abusing his public position.
