Russia has tested its S-500 aerial defense system, US official told CNBS.
The system succeeded in striking a target at a distance of about 480 kilometers— the longest distance measured so far, according to the report.
Russia says the system is able to intercept missiles, drones, and F-22 and F-35 jets.
