Israel's ambassador Danon urges UN condemns Hamas over rocket fire

Israel's ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, appealed to the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the Security Council to condemn Hamas for Tuesday's firing from the Gaza Strip at Israel.
Danon wrote in his appeal that "for weeks we warned that the violent demonstrations along the fence with Gaza were not spontaneous protests, but part of a violent and coordinated attack against Israel.
"The shells and missiles fired at our civilians leave no doubt as to the true intentions of those who incited, encouraged and even paid for those ongoing demonstrations."
