Foreign Ministry says advised Netanyahu to postpone discussion on recognition of Armenian genocide

The Foreign Affairs Ministry said Sunday it had advised Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to postpone discussion on the recognition of the Armenian genocide until after Turkey's elections.

The ministry said that recognizing the Armenian genocide at the moment might help Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan get reelected.
