Police seek 8-day extension of Hadera mayor's arrest

The police asked the Rishon LeZion Magistrates’ Court Monday to extend the arrest of Hadera Mayor Zvi "Zvika" Gendelman by eight days, who was arrested in the morning, along with three other suspects, on suspicion of corruption.
The police told the court that failure to extend his remand could result in an obstruction of the investigation.
In addition, the court extended the remand of the contractor and the chief of staff, who were also arrested, by six days.
