Senior regional council official suspected of sexual harassment

The police detained Tuesday a senior official of a regional council near Jerusalem and a former senior official on suspicion of sexual harassment.

The police said an inquiry has been launched after a woman who used to work at the council had filed a complaint saying she had been sexually harassed by the two officials.

The police searched the council's offices.
