The police detained Wednesday seven Umm al-Fahm residents on suspicion of attempted murder, extortion, and armament trade, among others.
The suspects are considered prominent figures with direct and indirect influence on crime in Umm al-Fahm.
They will be brought before Haifa's Magistrate's Court, where the police will ask to extend their remand.
