US submits to Lebanon a draft resolution over borders with Israel
Lebanese newspaper Al Akhbar reported Monday that United States submitted to Lebanon a draft resolution suggesting a solution to its borders issue with Israel.
The draft sated that Israel seeks to distinguish between its maritime border and terrestrial border with Lebanon, since the 1701 UN resolution does not address the matter of natural resources, including oil and gas.
Israel has refused in the past to negotiate the maritime and terrestrial borders of Rosh HaNikra with Lebanon, according to Al Akhbar.
