Military Advocate General closes a 2016 Palestinian teen death case

The Military Advocate General closed on Monday the investigation into the death of a Palestinian teen who was shot by an IDF force in June 2016.

None of the soldiers involved will be facing criminal charges.

According to the IDF Spokesperson's Office, “An examination of the investigation’s findings determined that in light of the difficult circumstances, an honest mistake in identifying the vehicle was made, and the force was given permission to fire as part of the procedure for apprehending a suspect.”

Following the event, the commander of the force retired from the IDF.
