8 suspects detained following an explosion heard in Shuafat

The police detained Thursday eight people suspected of involvement in preparing an explosive device in Shuafat refugee camp in east Jerusalem after an explosion was heard in the area.

One person was severely wounded in the explosion and was evacuated to the hospital to receive medical attention.

The police said the explosion was likely a result of preparing an explosive device.
