The Ministerial Committee for Legislation approved on Sunday a bill proposal seeking to bar the filming and photography of IDF soldiers.
The legislation will be brought to the Knesset for a preliminary reading on Wednesday.
The committee stressed, however, that it opposes the original version of the bill, which sets the punishment for the offense at 5-10 years imprisonment, and supports the understandings reached to moderate the punishment to an imprisonment of two weeks to three years.
