Palestinian shot near Bethlehem

A some 40-year-old Palestinian was shot Saturday after he had stepped out of a Palestinian taxi and began walking towards the "Kiosk" checkpoint near the Palestinian village of Abu Dis in the vicinity of Bethlehem. The checkpoint is meant for vehicles only.

The Border Police force acted upon the rules of engagement, yet the Palestinian kept approaching the checkpoint and was shot.

The man is being questioned at the scene by the Border Police.
