Eisenkot: Recent events strengthen our commitment

Chief of Staff: Lt. Gen. Gadi Eisenkot said Sunday "Recent events strengthen our commitment to be papered for any scenario and to do whatever it takes to ensure the security of Israel's citizens."

"We face many challenges—preventing Iran from entrenching in Syria, (thwarting) Hamas's effort in the West Bank and Gaza," Eisenkot elaborated.

"These challenges obligate us to work around the clock," the chief of staff added.
