UN Secretary-General: 'Hamas must stop firing rockets and firebombs'

UN Secretary-General António Guterres referred to recent events in the Gaza Strip, and said he "regrets the loss of life."

Guterres called on Hamas and other Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip to stop firing rockets and incendiary kites and carrying out further provocations along the Gaza Strip border. In addition, he called on Israel to maintain restraint in order to avoid escalation.
