Pilot of the intercepted Syrian plane is dead

A Syrian military source told the Russian news agency Sputnik that one of the pilots on the Sukhoi plane intercepted by Patriot missiles had been killed.

According to the report, the Syrian pilot was identified as Colonel Umran Mare. It was further reported that the fate of the second pilot is unknown.
