The Jerusalem District Committee decided, by a majority of 8 to 6, to deposit the construction plans on Reches Lavan in the Jerusalem hills, which include 5,000 housing units, in the same area of the Safdie plan that was rejected in 2007.
A representative of The Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel suggested to delay the approval of the plan to a different date, after the committee receives additional information, including an environmental impact report.
