Israel's UN ambassador: 'Security Council should condemn Hamas'

Israel's ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, referred to the Syrian plane intercepted by Patriot missiles and said: "Israel warned Syria not to violate the cease-fire agreement of 1974. We will not allow any violation of our sovereignty."

If the council "really wants to improve the situation, it should condemn Hamas," added the ambassador.
