Syrian official: 'Our response will not be long in coming'

A Syrian source said that "Damascus is not in a hurry to go to war with Israel, which is trying to stop the military operation against terror centers in southern Syria."
In an interview with the Lebanese website Elnashra, the official added that "The response to the downing of the plane will not be long in coming, and after we complete a few steps, the completion of military operations included, a direct response to Israeli forces will come at the appropriate time."
"We will thwart any attempt to remove Syria's allies from the region," the official said.
