Israel refuses 833 applications to leave Gaza

Israel has refused 833 applications to leave Gaza in the first quarter of 2018, claiming that the petitioners had alleged family ties to Hamas.

In contrast, Israel refused 21 applications last year, according to four non-governmental Israeli organizations.

These figures were provided by COGAT, the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Palestinian Territories.
