The Supreme Court accepted on Sunday an appeal filed by the state to double the 9-month prison sentence handed down in April to Border Policeman Ben Deri, who was convicted of the negligent homicide of 17-year-old Nadim Nuwara during Nakba Day clashes in Beitunia four years ago.
