Duterte: 'We'll buy weapons only from Israel'

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte said Tuesday during a meeting with President Reuven Rivlin that he will be happy to tighten his country's relations with Israel.

"Israel has helped our country in our fight against terrorism. I instructed my military brass to purchase weapons and military equipment only from Israel," Duterte stated.

"The US is a good friend, but buying from it has its limitations, as well as from China and Germany," he added.
