North Rhine-Westphalia's PM meets Netanyahu

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with the Prime Minister of the North Rhine-Westphalia, Armin Laschet, on Wednesday morning.

 

The meeting was held at the Prime Minister's Office in Jerusalem.

 

The two discussed reinforcing the ties between Israel and North Rhine-Westphalia, and various regional issues.

 

Netanyahu talked about Israel's security threats and the Iranian aggression.He also mentioned Israel's contribution to European security and said that Israel has prevented dozens of attacks in Europe.

  

Laschet arrived in Israel to open the first representative office of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.

 

The two countries have good relations, and cooperate in various fields, including youth exchange programs, and teaching of the Holocaust.

 

Trade deals with North Rhine-Westphalia stand at about one billion euros a year.
