IDF chief: complete quiet in Gaza is unlikely

IDF Southern Command chief Herzl Halevi addressed the situation in Gaza on Sunday.

In a radio interview with Radio Darom, Helevi referred to the possibility of a ceasefire deal with Hamas and said:" It will be wrong to say that complete quiet in the region is likely to be achieved, not even when looking at the next decade."

Halevi added that occupying Gaza would not improve Israel's security.
