The Syrian army claimed Saturday that "our air defense systems thwarted an Israeli attack near the airport in Damascus."
According to a report by the Syrian news agency SANA, Israeli aircraft attacked the airport and several Israeli missiles were intercepted.
No injuries or damage were reported.
