Arrest extended of 2 Palestinians suspected of involvement in Yom Kippur terror attack attempt

The Jerusalem Magistrates’ Court extended the arrest on Wednesday by three days of two suspects arrested on Yom Kippur for allegedly conspiring to carry out an attempted terror attack in Jerusalem that was thwarted by police officers near the Old City.

Police asked the court to extend the arrest by nine days.

Police shot and killed a 26-year-old Palestinian terrorist from Qalandiya on Tuesday evening who attempted to carry out a stabbing attack against a Jewish man and police officers with a screwdriver on HaNevi’im Street at 7pm, shortly after Yom Kippur began, the holiest day of the Jewish year.

No one was injured in the attempted attack.
