Trump: we stand with Israel

At the meeting between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump Wednesday, Trump told Netanyahu that the US stands with Israel "100 percent."

Trump also addressed tensions between Russia and Israel, and promised to "talk with Putin if it's appropriate."

Regarding the US peace plan, the US president said he believes the Palestinians want to come back to the negotiation table, and that the peace plan is moving along very well, adding that Israel will have "to do something that is good for the other side."

In response, Netanyahu thanked Trump and said that "no one has backed Israel like you do and we appreciate it."

The two are meeting in New York, on the sidelines of the annual gathering of the UN General Assembly.
