China's vice-president Wang Qishan will arrive in Israel on October 22 for a three-day visit. This is the first visit by a senior Chinese leader since the visit of former Chinese President Jiang Zemin in Israel in 2000.
Next to the current president of China, Xi Jinping, the vice president is considered the second most powerful man in office.
Qishan will arrive in Israel for the 4th joint Israeli-Chinese Innovation Conference.
The Chinese vice president will be accompanied by a large delegation of Chinese businessmen and executives, including the founder of Alibaba Group Jack Ma.
