Israel, Syria to reopen the Quneitra crossing
The United Nations, Israel and Syria have reached an agreement to reopen the Quneitra crossing in the Golan Heights, the US announced on Friday, calling the two countries to facilitate the operation of the UN peacekeeping mission in the area.
"The United States welcomes the reopening of this crossing, which will allow UN peacekeepers to step up their efforts to prevent hostilities in the Golan Heights region," the US ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley said in a statement.
