Basel Ghattas's request for early release from prison rejected

The Courts' Administration's parole board's rejected Tuesday former MK Basel Ghattas's request for early release from prison.

Ghattas is serving a two-year sentence for smuggling cellphones to security prisoners in Ktzi'ot Prison.

The parole committee said that Ghattas's actions were grave and had the potential to hurt Israel and its citizens' security.
