UN Security Council to convene on Gaza situation

The Security Council of the United Nations will convene a special meeting in light of the escalation in Gaza. Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Dannon said: “We will not accept calls for both sides to act with restraint. There is a side which is attacking and has launched 400 rockets at a civilian population and there is a side which is defending its citizens. Any society must ask itself how it would respond to such a barrage of missiles on their country.”
